As a charity, Coeliac UK depends on income from donors and corporate partners to survive. We receive no government funding, yet we provide unique and much needed services to people who do not get the support they need to maintain a reasonable quality of life.

Cause related marketing

Creating a cause related marketing partnership with us enables you to support a very worthwhile cause, whilst bringing a number of benefits to your business. Research conducted by Business in the Community has shown that cause related marketing helps to

• improve consumer perceptions of the brand as socially responsible and trustworthy
• encourage brand switching and increased product usage
• strengthen brand equity through increased emotional loyalty

A major aim of Coeliac UK is to increase the rate of diagnosis so that more people are correctly diagnosed with coeliac disease and are thereby able to lead a healthy life. Interestingly, this process helps to increase consumer demand for gluten-free products and services, so long term benefits are brought to those who supply the market.

Supporting strategic, long term projects

We have a number of strategic, long term projects that need your support. These include:

• Research into food information needs, to improve the quality of our services to the coeliac community
• Funding for medical research that may lead to improved treatments or, ultimately a cure for coeliac disease
• Increased resources for campaigning to develop awareness and improve services in healthcare.
