Website My School Lunch

Popular website www.myschoollunch.co.uk which aims to raise awareness of healthy eating for school children, their parents and teachers is supporting our Food Without Fear campaign.  They are promoting the campaign to both primary school age and secondary school children through their main and sister websites including My Cookery Club which details issues including cross-contamination and preparing gluten-free food.  Their other website www.yougo4it.co.uk is aimed at older children and advises on the best way to deal with having coeliac disease as you grow into a teenager. Click here for more information.

Brockleby Farm Melton Mowbray Leicestershire
Brockleby's Farm Shop is giving away four free faggots* to every customer who visits the shop in Asfordby Hill, Melton Mowbray. G-free and The National Trust
G Free Ltd in conjunction with the National Trust is pleased to announce a special lunch to raise awareness about coeliac disease.This will be held at Killerton, set in the glorious Devon countryside, on the Tuesday 13th May 2008 between 12.00noon and 2.00pm.It will consist of a three course gluten free lunch and once the lunch is over everyone will be welcome to explore the wonderful gardens of Killerton at no extra expense.  The price is £12.50.  Tel: : 01404 47904 or email: g-free@tiscali.co.uk

Asda FM
Asda stores throughout the country will be broadcasting an interview with Norma McGough, Head of Diet and Health at Coeliac UK, regarding coeliac disease and Awareness Week. So when you visit Asda during Awareness Week be sure to listen out.

Glu2go
Glu2go, suppliers of gluten-free batter mix, have sent out over 100 Awareness Week packs to the Fish + Chip shops across the country who work with them. So if you fancy gluten-free fish and chips during Awareness Week , visit the Glu2go website to find a shop near to you.

Le Chene Vert, France
In recognition of Coeliac Awareness Week, Le Chene Vert is launching a series of gluten free cookery courses based in Cognac, South West France. The first course is run over three days in May, 16th - 18th. The mornings will be spent visiting the local towns of Saintes and Cognac, taking in a Cognac distillery tour and shopping at the markets. The afternoons will be spent preparing evening dinner. In the evenings you will taste the fruits of your labour after a local aperitif and along with wine from the village cave.

Sainsbury's are offering 4 free-from products for the price of 3 (excluding ready meals and spreads) from May 7th - 21st to support Awareness Week.   Look out for our logos in the free-from aisles.

For Yorkshire Members and friends, why not visit Langlands Nurseries near York who are offering gluten-free menu choices in their café during Awareness Week. Delicious Alchemy
Delicious Alchemy, manufacturers and suppliers of gorgeous puddings to some of the country's top hotels, are organising a live gluten-free cooking competition between 3 Yorkshire hotels who have really supported gluten-free dining over the last 2 years. The event will take place at Thomas Danby College in Leeds on May 14th .
